City of Kragujevac

The City of Kragujevac is a consortium member and one of the main beneficiaries of project results. In accordance with the Law on Local Authorities and City Statute, the City of Kragujevac delivers numerous services that reflect the interest of the citizens. Among them, the care of environmental protection is one of the most important issues. Having in mind relatively bad situation in this area the City is paying a big attention to improving the conditions not only by undertaking investments and to foster the capacity building.

University of Kragujevac, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, has already established close cooperation with public services of local communities through activities within implementation of three national strategic projects “Energy Efficiency Improvement of the City of Kragujevac Water Supply System”, "Energy Efficiency Improvement of the City of Kragujevac Heating Supply System" (both managed by prof. Milovanovic) and "Development of Solid Waste Management Strategy through Establishing the Local Enviromental Information System".
